The new parallel port interface: in addition to the features of LPR2DMX we added a second line driver for transmitting RS-485. This allows one to control an other DMX512 universe with one adapter. 1024 channels are now possible on laptops of any other device not allowing the installation of a ISA- or PCI-cards.

The two line drivers can be configured to output exactly the same or different data at the same time. Also for backward compatibility with LPR2DMX the second driver can be switched off.

This enables one starting DMX512 desk development with the LPR2DMX and later upgrading to this new LPR2DMX2. RS-485 specification says only up to 32 devices connected to a single driver are guaranteed to work. Need more? LPR2DMX2 allows You to connect up to 64 devices and drive them separately in "each line-driver one unique universe"-mode. You would like to have more security by running a second cable between desk and dimmer-city? Where others buy a DMX512-splitter You have LPR2DMX2 with its "two line-drivers one universe"-mode.
